The Andreae AF803 Paper Filter Media is one of the most widely used paint arrestor filters in professional spray booth applications worldwide. Engineered using Andreae’s unique multi-stage filtration design, the AF803 effectively captures paint overspray, glue particles, varnishes, lacquers and other airborne liquid contaminants before they enter extraction systems or exhaust ducting.
Unlike conventional fibreglass filter media, the Andreae AF803 uses a specially designed concertina-style pleated cardboard structure that creates multiple separation chambers. As contaminated air passes through the filter, overspray particles are trapped through a combination of inertial separation and directional airflow changes, allowing the filter to retain significantly larger quantities of paint while maintaining stable airflow.
The design enables the AF803 to hold substantially more paint than many traditional exhaust filter medias, helping reduce filter replacement frequency, lower maintenance costs and minimise production downtime. Uniform airflow is maintained throughout the filter’s life, helping improve spray booth performance and finish quality.
For applications requiring enhanced filtration performance, Andreae also offers High Efficiency versions incorporating a polyester backing layer capable of achieving filtration efficiencies approaching 99–100% while maintaining the high loading capacity for which Andreae filters are renowned.
The AF803 is easy to install, simple to dispose of and compatible with most dry-filter spray booths, making it an ideal solution for automotive refinishing, industrial coating and wood finishing facilities.
